Whyte 2024 rebranding and range launch – mountain bike press release

The new Whyte – for over 22 years we’ve been dedicated to creating the extraordinary: innovative, award-winning, groundbreaking bikes that inspire confidence and spread joy. For 2024, we’re moving up a gear. We are doubling down on what we are known for – such as engineering design and technical innovation – and introducing a new logo, new industrial design, new visual language and evolving the brand. But the new Whyte is more than just skin deep, it demonstrates our intention to inspire even more riders to Ride Extraordinary in 2024 and beyond.

Model range 2024:

For model year 2024 (MY24), we have introduced two completely new ranges – the all-new E-Lyte lightweight e-mountain bikes and the RHeO city/eCity and leisure bikes. In addition, we have introduced a more careful, targeted product line for the rest of our range of electric and mechanical MTBs, improving their specifications where we could and significantly reducing their prices. All to make them more affordable for more drivers and easier for both stores and drivers to navigate.

We help drivers make the right choice

All of our bicycles and e-bikes are designed, developed and tested to exceed relevant testing standards. We also classify all our bikes according to their intended use, from category one (1) “Road” to two (2) “Cross/Gravel”, three (3) “Trail” and four (4) “Enduro”. Category five (5) “Downhill and Freeride”. All to make it even easier for riders to find the right Whyte for them, so they can ride with confidence that we – and our bikes – have their back.

Model summaries

BRAND NEW: E-Lyte lightweight, high-performance E-MTBs

The E-Lyte range is designed for riders looking for a much lighter and more natural “mountain bike” riding experience, paired with 600W of peak power and the range you need to do it all. Three full carbon models make up the range: the XC/Trail E-Lyte 140 Works in category three (140 mm travel at the front/135 mm at the rear) and the Trail/Enduro E-Lyte 150 Works and the E-Lyte 150 RSX in category four (150 mm front, 142 mm rear travel).
The flagship XC/trail model E-Lyte 140 Works weighs just 16.4kg (size M), the 150 Works trail/enduro bike weighs 19.2kg (size M) and the similar RSX weighs 18.9kg (Size M). Despite these low weights, each E-Lyte features fully trail-proven equipment, including reinforced tires, four-piston brakes, full-length dropper seatposts, wide handlebars and matching forks, so you don’t have to compromise on the ride.

The RSX has an internal 400 Wh Battery in the down tube and is also compatible with the PowerMore (sold separately).
