Push Industries Launches All-New SV8 Family of Rear Shocks – Mountain Bike Press Release
WWhen it comes to coil springs, no other suspension company is more committed to the #oncoil movement than PUSH. Today we are pleased to introduce our expanded range of coil shock absorbers, giving riders more options to upgrade their rear suspension to PUSH.
The concept
Build a precise, lightweight, high-performance coil shock with premium durability. Offer it in a package that enables the most comprehensive aftermarket compatibility of MTB and e-MTB bikes. Make the external setting positive and easy to use. And perhaps the biggest challenge is making it here at home in Colorado. SV8 mission accomplished!
chassis
The new SV8 features a single-valve architecture with 28 clicks each for high- and low-speed compression damping and 18 clicks for low-speed rebound damping, all via tool-free external adjustment dials. The shock absorber on most modern mountain bike frames is packaged to minimize weight and maximize frame clearance. SV8 coil shocks feature standardized mounting lugs compatible with both DU bushings and 5-piece hardware mounting kits, as well as spring retainers compatible with PUSH hypercoil springs as well as aftermarket springs with an inner diameter of 35mm (1. 38 inches) are compatible.
Damping optimized
No lever, no problem. Every SV8 features our new bridge piston design and compression characteristic, which helps isolate rider-induced movement without sacrificing performance during impacts. Riders also benefit from the SV8’s easy-to-use, tool-free external adjusters, allowing them to fine-tune precise power to meet both their pedaling efficiency and bump-eating needs.
Hydraulic bottom out
Never experience a hard rock bottom again. In the final 15% of wheel travel, our secondary HBO piston increases compression damping to quickly decelerate the shock and provide a seamlessly consistent final travel.
User adjustable stroke
One shock, 3 different blows. With our Travel Chip system, travel can be easily adjusted in 2.5mm increments to ensure an exact fit to your bike’s specifications. Additionally, these travel chips offer increased flexibility when taking the shock to another bike.
Durable construction
Today’s mountain bike market is more diverse than ever. Given the different linkage designs, mounting systems and different E-MTB applications, a robust product is required to meet all requirements. We equipped the SV8 with our high-strength steel stock and oversized stock eyelet to meet these exact needs.
