Introducing the Kona Factory Team 2024 – mountain bike press release

The 2024 Kona Factory Team is ready to tackle the world’s most demanding trails. From the roots and clay soils of North Vancouver to the iconic lines of Kamloops, the flow of California and the peaks of the world’s most spectacular mountain peaks, these riders will blast corners and turn heads wherever they go.

Headlining the Kona Factory team is North Shore’s favorite son, Caleb Holonko. Caleb has more exciting video parts planned and will continue his all-out assault on the freeride world. Californian phenomenon Eddie Reynolds returns for his second year with the factory team. His combination of effortless style, speed and an ever-growing bag of tricks is sure to blow you away. Expect to see him on even more podiums in 2024. Kamloops BC shredder Kyleigh Stewart will focus her talents on the growing women’s freeride scene at Select Crankworx events. New to the factory team for 2024 is the up-and-coming Tayte Proulx-Royds. The young Canadian rider is just as at home riding huge freeride lines in style as she is riding cross country at an elite level.

Caleb Holonko

At just 26 years old, Caleb Holonko has established himself as a fixture in the global freeride scene. The North Vancouver native has a knack for approaching established stunts from a new perspective – while leaving his jaw on the floor. Instead of just riding the infamous trails and calling it a day, Caleb sees them as a canvas for innovation. For 2024, expect to see much more of Caleb’s powerful, groundbreaking riding style and creative line decisions that have made him a household name.

Eddie Reynolds

Returning for his second year with the Kona Factory team is 18-year-old Eddie Reynolds. Hailing from Southern California’s surf and skate culture, Eddie rides fast and hard with a style that’s unmatched. Eddie strives to be the most well-rounded rider he can and wants to enjoy every aspect of cycling to the fullest! He can be found winning whip-off events, dual slalom, pump track and the biggest jumps. In 2024, Eddie will compete in select Crankworx stops and continue his path to total dual slalom dominance, all while gracing us with his effortless style.

Kyleigh Stewart

Born and raised in Kamloops; Mountain biking has been part of Kyleigh Stewart’s life for almost as long as she has been able to walk. Kyleigh returns to the Kona Factory Team for another year and excels as a mentor to BC’s youth. Between DH races and whip offs, she trains aspiring racers at Sun Peaks Bike Park. For 2024, Kyleigh will continue her transition from racer to freerider, unleashing her passion for cycling with her super-casual and effortless style at bike parks and events across North America.

Tayte Proulx Royds

At just 15 years old, Tayte Proulx-Royds is the newest addition to the Kona Factory squad and the true Swiss Army Knife of the team. The two-time cyclocross provincial champion and cross country provincial champion also has a Darkhorse Award, which she won as a 12-year-old after sending the entire line at the Dark Horse Invitational Freeride event in 2021. She’s insanely adaptable and laser-focused, never losing her friendly and approachable nature. You may not be able to predict what bike she’ll be riding at any given time, but you can predict that she’ll tear up whatever she’s doing with style and a smile .
