Hope launches carbon crank, new stem and unlimited bronze color variant – mountain bike press release

FFirst, let’s introduce the long-awaited carbon version of our proven EVO cranks. The Carbon Crank was designed to maximize the benefits of carbon fiber through a unique construction method while using very small aluminum inserts to keep weight down. Combined with an optimized lay-up, this ensures a good balance between ride feel, stiffness and isolation from vibrations on the trail.

Durability and ease of maintenance are considered in everything we do, and the carbon crank is no exception. With a 1K outer material for increased abrasion resistance, the crank also features replaceable pedal threads. As with the Evo cranks, the axles and chainrings are interchangeable, making it compatible with most drivetrains and frames. We protect you for the future. Similar to our HB916 carbon handlebar and seatpost, the crank has been designed, tested and manufactured at our Barnoldswick factory and demonstrates our commitment to maintaining the highest standards of carbon fiber production in the UK.

All-new TR stem

Designed to replace the AM stem, the all-new TR stem matches the aesthetics of the Gravity stem but is tailored for downcountry/trail and all-mountain use. This new stem is lighter and stiffer compared to the previous model and features a design that complements the other stems in our range.
A notable feature of the TR stem is the introduction of a 40mm length to achieve the perfect setup.

PF41 BB updated

At Hope we believe 30mm crank axles are the way forward. One of the few downsides is that it fits into a 41mm diameter bottom bracket shell designed for a 24mm axle. Until now, our solution consisted of two bearings pressed directly into the shell. Although they were able to withstand the stress, the lack of internal and external sealing tended to shorten their lifespan more than we would have liked. We now have a new solution. A specially designed and Swiss manufactured bearing that allows us to offer a complete bottom bracket assembly with fully sealed inner center tube and outer end shields.
These bearings are also more tolerant of misalignment to compensate for manufacturing tolerances in the frame’s bottom bracket shell. All of this results in a more durable and long-lasting bottom bracket. Long live the 30mm crank axle!
