SWith the DNA of the infamous Boy Scout, Nukeproof is proud to launch the Cub Scoot, the 14″ and 16″ Cub Scouts. Although we can’t guarantee that the latest additions to our Cub Scout range will turn your little one into the next Sam Hill, it’s a good start and he’s sure to have a lot of fun along the way. With a demanding team of testers (our own children), we left no stone unturned to develop a range of youth bikes designed to inspire the next generation of mountain bikers and give them confidence off-road. Knowing that children’s bikes are 50% ridden and 50% carried by mum and dad, we have ensured that the entire range is robust yet lightweight to accommodate those inevitable ‘moments of excitement’. NUKEPROOF Cub Scoot
What sets it apart:
The Cub Scoot was designed and developed by the same team behind our award-winning mountain bike range. It is a special 12-inch children’s balance bike for riders ages 2 and up.
Equipped with lightweight wheels wrapped in dedicated off-road tires to provide maximum grip while remaining maneuverable enough for small riders.
Size is important in a children’s bike, which is why the Cub Scout is offered with a low standover height and a fully adjustable saddle height to allow the Cub to ride with the family for longer.
The Cub Scoot is rear brake ready when the shoe brakes are no longer sufficient (140mm disc recommended) to avoid having to trade in the Cub Scoot early and keep it in the family longer.
The frame is made from hydroformed 6062-T6 custom-butted aluminum to maintain strength and is custom designed in a kid-friendly MTB geometry.
Available in two colors: rosso red and turmeric yellow.
NUKEPROOF 14-inch Cub Scout
What sets it apart:
For mini shredders who have completed their balance bike running career and are looking for their first pedal bike (ages 3 and up).
A direct descendant of the Scout, Nukeproof’s award-winning hardtail, the 14-inch Cub Scout features a low standover height and an adjustable integrated saddle and seat post.
The 14-inch Cub Scout features a single-speed gearbox to make things even easier in the early days, as well as disc brakes (160mm front and 140mm rear) equipped with short-reach levers, to enable easy braking when things get stormy.
Small hands and feet require the right components. Nukeproof has selected a full range of kid-friendly components in the form of a kid-specific saddle, kid-specific bars (25.2mm clamp) and 19mm grips to ensure key touchpoints are covered.

NUKEPROOF 16-inch Cub Scout
What sets it apart:
One size does not fit all. If you’re coming straight from a balance bike and your 14″ isn’t big enough for a 20″, the Cub Scout16″ is for you.
Designed for teenagers between 105 and 110 cm tall, the Cub Scout 16″ is a true off-road bike with quality tires, coordinated geometry and components suitable for small hands and feet.
A low standover height and adjustable integrated saddle and seat post make this a confident entry-level bike. Powerful disc brakes support learning the basics of mastering a mountain bike.
