You would be forgiven for thinking that the current 992 GT3 RS (or upcoming GT2 RS) are as good as it gets from the German automaker. With cars that are so dominant at the Nürburgring, but are still able to handle everyday tasks so sensibly, how can you possibly get any better?
Those familiar with Porsche’s hierarchies and traditions will be aware of the vacant seat currently being vacated by the 918 Spyder and that Carrera GT before that – a Porsche that can hold its own a real hypercar. With the aforementioned world champions having the legitimacy of that title themselves, this may seem like an extremely difficult task. It is certainly not insurmountable, and we will soon witness its inauguration as it assumes its rightful throne.
Well, that’s it should happen. While the German automaker has not yet officially given the green light to this so-called concept Mission X– Recent developments suggest that significant resources are currently being put into production to make this a reality. In the interior we can expect a minimalist approach that combines comfort and aesthetics with driver orientation and functionality. It’s usually difficult to extrapolate too much from concept cars, especially when it comes to interiors.
