Danny Hart on Continental GT – Full Roster Announced – Mountain Bike Press Release

This small family team was formed in 2021 to support two young Irish riders, Ronan Dunne and Chris Cumming, into World Cup racing. Without the vision of Continental Tires and Nukeproof Bikes, none of this would have been possible. After an outstanding season in 2023 as a fully-fledged UCI elite team, no one could have imagined the turmoil that would result not only for the team, but for the entire mountain bike industry.

While Nukeproof’s future hung in the balance in the winter of 2023, we didn’t know if we would be racing in 2024. Then on February 21st came the news that our bike sponsorship had abruptly ended. The team spirit of responding quickly meant we had already courted the team with several interested parties, but GT Bicycles was our preferred option with a World Cup winning platform and a great working relationship with Continental. With GT stepping in alongside Continental, we are thrilled to announce that the team is officially called the Continental GT Racing Team for 2024!

• It’s been difficult to keep this out of the headlines, but finally we can announce and welcome x2 World Champion Danny Hart! With over 19 World Cup podium finishes, Danny’s legendary status needs no introduction!
• As a continuous member of the team and Italian champion, Vero brings a wealth of talent and experience that has seen her achieve six World Cup podium finishes. At the last World Cup in 2023, she left the season on the podium, finishing in 3rd place!
• Chris is a core member of the team and one of Ireland’s hottest emerging talents. Chris not only represents the young talents in the team, but also helps with team logistics and of course brings the personality that everyone knows and loves. He leaves the 2023 season with his first qualifying session more excited than ever to show what he can do!
• Harry brings experience from 16 World Cup seasons and team management. He places great emphasis on supporting the team inside and outside the belt, still competes in most World Championships and has a long history of events such as Hardline.
