New personalization options from McLaren to celebrate its 60th anniversary

McLaren’s 60th anniversary celebrations continue into the 60th yearTh year with the introduction of new options for all newly ordered series models. A pack of 60 piecesTh Bespoke anniversary-themed features, including new exterior and interior visual content that pay tribute to McLaren’s capture of motorsport’s unofficial ‘Triple Crown’ achievement, are available for GT, Artura and the all-new 750S supercar.

A major milestone in McLaren’s six-decade history, completing the Triple Crown – consisting of victories in motorsport’s three most prestigious races – came 21 years after McLaren recorded its first win at the Indianapolis 500 in 1974. Triumph at the Monaco Grand Prix – a race that McLaren has now won 15 times, a record for any Formula 1 constructor – followed in 1984. The momentous achievement was completed in 1995 when the F1 GTR won the 24 Hours of Le Mans, which was McLaren’s first entry into the iconic racing series endurance racing.

Three exterior finishes, each paying homage to the victorious cars that won the Triple Crown for McLaren, are available across the full range of production road cars. Indy Orange is a new solid color that replicates and modernizes the bright orange hue of the M16D that won the 1974 Indy 500. Another new solid color, Monaco White, is inspired by the predominantly white hue of the MP4/2 that won the 1984 Monaco Grand Prix. Rounding out the paint trio is a metallic option called Le Mans Grey, a tribute to the victorious F1 GTR at the 1995 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Triple Crown Stripes are offered in combination with these paint options. These painted stripes run down the center of the hood and are repeated on the rear wing. This exclusive option is only available to order on 750S models and will be produced for 60 orders – one for each McLaren year. The front features a McLaren Triple Crown logo, while the back features each year of the victory – 1974, 1984 and 1995 – complete with intricate graphics. It is rounded off by a contrasting underside of the rear wing with further Triple Crown logo.

Other exterior improvements include two new 60sTh Anniversary colors of the brake calipers. The “Indy Blue” paintwork is inspired by the victory in the Indianapolis 500 and is color-coordinated with the blue of the starting number “3” of the victorious M16D. Le Mans Gold reflects the color of the brake calipers on the legendary McLaren F1 GTR. The new caliper colors are available for 750S, GT and Artura.

Vehicles ordered with gloss carbon fiber exterior mirrors can be additionally specified with 60Th Anniversary logo “Speedy Kiwi” in orange or silver attached to the mirror housings. The logo corresponds to that on a new dedication plaque designed exclusively for vehicles with 60Th Anniversary options

60Th Anniversary interior options include a painted steering wheel centerline marker in Indy Orange, available on vehicles with a specified carbon fiber steering wheel. The steering wheel markings can be complemented by new extended carbon fiber painted paddle shifters with stripes in the McLaren Triple Crown colors.

All cars were ordered at 60Th Anniversary options will feature a new custom-made brushed aluminum dedication plaque reading “60.”Th Anniversary logo in McLaren Orange. The logo includes a “60” in the famous McLaren “Speedy Kiwi”, the badge worn by Bruce McLaren’s racing cars. Every 750S ordered with the Triple Crown Stripes is marked “1 of 60” on the dedication plaque, highlighting the rarity of the specification.
