Guests at the new Peninsula London Hotel can now experience the company’s legendary luxury before even alighting at the hotel entrance, as they are driven around London in one of the property’s new bespoke Bentayga Hybrids. The Peninsula London has commissioned four Bentayga hybrid SUVs to provide guests with luxurious, near-silent transport, whether within the city’s ultra-low emission zone or beyond.
Bentley’s Bentayga Hybrid is the only hybrid SUV in the bespoke automotive sector and offers a compelling blend of elegance, effortless performance and comfortable luxury. The combination of a 3.0-liter V6 gasoline engine, an electric motor and an 18.0 kWh battery delivers a remarkable range of performance, from quiet, near-silent, zero-emission EV mode to powerful acceleration on the open road. Thanks to the electric vehicle’s range of up to 28 miles, most journeys from The Peninsula London can be completed without emitting a single gram of CO22. For longer distance journeys, the combined output of 462 PS (456 hp) provides the effortless performance Bentley is known for.
The Peninsula’s exacting specifications were carried out by the craftsmen of Mulliner, Bentley’s personal contracting department. The finishes and trims have been carefully selected to reflect the group’s distinctive livery, recognized around the world. The exterior body, roof rails and equipment are finished in Peninsula Green, the most subtle two-piece body lines in Honey. A subtle “The Peninsula London” graphic adorns the front doors. Unique welcome lamps project the peninsula’s logo onto the floor to guide guests as the doors open.
All four Bentayga Hybrids feature Azure specification, with an emphasis on wellbeing and comfort. The color of the main saddle coat and the Beluga secondary coat create an atmosphere of timeless serenity; The backrests feature “wellness quilting”, while the deep shine of the burr walnut veneer creates a tactile and visual contrast to the soft shine of the leather. Veneered picnic tables and individual entertainment screens are available for each passenger in the rear compartment. Bentley mood lighting and signature audio system provide atmosphere and entertainment.
To ensure the comfort and convenience of its guests, The Peninsula London has also installed bespoke metal plaques throughout the interior designating dedicated areas for tissues and used towelettes in the rear doors, storage space for magazines in the front seatbacks and notices encouraging guests to do so , not to do this smoke. Additional USB ports and bespoke illuminated “The Peninsula” door sills complete the cabin.
