Another limited edition Ducati Diavel, this time with Bentley branding

Ducati and Bentley are proud to jointly announce a new limited edition motorcycle that celebrates the best of both iconic brands: the Ducati Diavel for Bentley. The project, the result of a collaboration between the two manufacturers, combines Ducati and Bentley with a vision of performance, craftsmanship and exclusivity. The result is an impressive synthesis of technology, style and performance that makes enthusiasts dream. The bike will be unveiled to the public this evening at a “Fuorisalone” event at Art Basel in Miami, the overseas edition of Europe’s most prestigious contemporary art fair.

On the sophisticated technical basis of the powerful and comfortable Diavel V4, Ducati has integrated characteristic elements of the Bentley Batur – of which only 18 examples are handmade by Bentley – to create a motorcycle unique in elegance and design. The Diavel for Bentley is produced in a numbered series limited to 500 examples, plus an additional 50 additional special motorcycles “Ducati Diavel for Bentley Mulliner”. The latter are reserved for Bentley customers and include the personalization and individuality inherent in the Batur on which the motorcycles are based.

The Batur is Bentley’s most powerful production car ever and features a 740 hp W12 twin-turbo engine. Additionally, the Batur combines defining Bentley craftsmanship with a sculptural, muscular body that defines a new design DNA for Bentley and anticipates a new design direction for the brand. The visual message exudes great power and elegance without being intrusive or over the top. The 18 examples of the Batur are individually handcrafted by Mulliner, the world’s oldest coachbuilder, and Bentley’s in-house bespoke department.

Centro Stile Ducati, in collaboration with Bentley designers, has created a new design for this special motorcycle, taking inspiration from the Batur, from which it takes the side view lines. The sophisticated and sophisticated Scarab Green color, with many metallic tones, comes from the Bentley Mulliner palette and is used throughout the bodywork. The decisive and aggressive lines of the Diavel V4 have also been fundamentally revised through the technical components: many of the characteristic features of the Batur are taken up in different parts of the bike. The forged rims designed and manufactured for this motorcycle echo the shapes of the car and are painted in Dark Titanium Satin, leaving some machined surfaces visible.

The side air intakes reflect the two-tone front grille, one of the Batur’s most recognizable elements. The triangular rear extractors refer to the corresponding elements of the vehicle. The front fender, fairing and top view of the tank are reminiscent of the front hood ribs, while the single-seater rear, which can be replaced with a passenger seat, borrows many styling cues from the Batur’s rear. Many of the body components are made of high quality carbon fiber (fenders, headlight covers, engine, exhaust and radiator covers, radiator shrouds, side panels and tail piece).

The black Alcantara driver’s seat is inspired by the vehicle’s interior and features precise craftsmanship that reveals the underlying red fabric with the same material as the Batur seats and the Bentley logo embroidered on the rear upholstery. The dual outlet exhaust with its cover has been redesigned to harmonize with the refined lines of the motorcycle.

In addition to the 500 Diavel for Bentley examples, Ducati also offers a series of only 50 examples called Diavel for Bentley Mulliner. The 50 Diavel for Bentley Mulliner motorcycles will be available exclusively to Mulliner customers who, through direct collaboration with the designers at Centro Stile Ducati, choose their Diavel for Bentley Mulliner with different colors for the caliper, front brake calipers and carbon fiber parts and rims. They can also choose the same color for the body panels as their car or a color from an exclusive color palette that Mulliner’s designers have chosen for this special and extremely exclusive series.

Like all collector Ducati, the Diavel for Bentley comes with a certificate of authenticity, a passenger seat and a motorcycle cover. The model name and production number of the device are indicated on a plate in the carbon fiber cover of the vertical head on the right side of the motorcycle. Both the dashboard, which is equipped with a turn-by-turn navigator as standard, and the LED matrix of the rear light group offer a special animation when switched on, making the Diavel even more distinctive for Bentley. Finally, each Diavel for Bentley is delivered in an exclusive, personalized wooden box.

The collaboration between the two manufacturers has also resulted in the creation of a capsule collection reserved for Bentley Diavel owners, allowing customers to customize their look with a jet helmet and a technical jacket (available in both men’s and women’s versions ) to complete limited edition, characterized by a color scheme that reflects that of the motorcycle. The Diavel for Bentley adopts the 1,158cc V4 Granturismo engine, a central element of its design and at the same time a highly sophisticated technical choice. Powerful (168 HP), high torque, but also extremely light and compact, at the same time fluid and ready for use from the lowest speed. The Twin Pulse combustion sequence, together with the special exhaust system, unmistakably characterizes the sound of the exhaust.
